Serving the refugee community…
There are a range of ways you can support our work amongst people of refugee backgrounds.
Whether it’s through donation, prayer partnering or volunteering, we would love to hear from you!
Our volunteers are committed to serving the refugee community alongside us with their skills, their friendship, and their hearts to serve. We are open to anyone with a passion to serve the refugee community to join our team.
We especially welcome language and cultural helpers or interpreters who speak Persian (Farsi or Dari), Arabic, Pashtu, or Tamil. All volunteers complete an application, screening, and training before joining our activities.

Pray with us
We are guided by prayer, and make it a priority in our meetings to seek God’s wisdom and guidance. Prayer is a part of our decision making process, strategy and launch of new activities.
We also rely on the prayers of our partners and supporters to collectively offer the activities developed by Freedom to Flourish as the means to bring glory to God and care for the vulnerable and marginalised.
If you are interested in becoming our prayer partner, please contact us, we will send you updates, prayer points and praise points to guide your time of prayer for Freedom to Flourish.
Guidance for our facilitators who organise the different groups.
Our participants to form good relationships and be healed from their trauma and develop skills to support themselves and their communities in their mental, emotional and spiritual health.
God’s light to be shared through the groups
The health and wellbeing of all people involved

Churches & Organisations
Freedom to Flourish has a strong partnerships with Christian churches, as well as other organisations engaging with people from refugee backgrounds and a diversity of cultural communities living in and around Sydney.
We thank Wentworthville Anglican Church and Merrylands Baptist Church allowing Freedom to Flourish to use their premises to run the various activities we have for refugees.
Many of our team are enabled to serve with Freedom to Flourish through the generous financial and prayer support of Churches, Community groups and individuals who partner with us.
If your Church, group or organisation would be interested in being a part of this Kingdom work with us, we would love to hear from you.
“Tuesday mornings feel like a warm hug from the Lord to me. It’s the day I serve at (Freedom to Flourish), caring for the health and well-being of Muslim women. Each meeting is an opportunity to show Christ’s love in practical and compassionate ways. I carry a phrase that became my life motto:
“To serve, to care, to restore — that is the practice of happiness.”
And happiness is exactly what I feel when I’m serving.
Soon, I hope to ...continue being an instrument of healing for the *spirit, soul, and body* of these women so dearly loved by God.”
